Updated Policies during the COVID19 Pandemic and FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS- We are still open by APPOINTMENT ONLY with an APPROVED APPLICATION ONLY. Please keep in mind that if you drop by just to visit you will not be permitted in the building. Applications must be submitted via our website, saugertiesanimalshelter.com. Applying for a specific animal does NOT guarantee your adoption of that animal. We cannot guarantee any animal's availability at any time. (Please keep in mind that we do not always post all available kittens on our website due to popularity.) When you submit your application you will receive an email to let you know that it was received on our end. Please allow us a minimum of 3 days to process your application. Typically what holds up the application process is that we are unable to speak with references. So please be sure to let your personal references and your veterinary reference know that we will be calling. Once your application is approved we will contact you to schedule your appointment. Appointments are 30 minute slots. Only 2 people are permitted to attend each appointment and everyone must wear a mask. If you are late for your appointment, it does limit your appointment time. (For example: if you are 10 minutes late, you now only have 20 minutes for your appointment.) We kindly ask that you plan accordingly. We reserve the right to adjust our appointment schedule as needed to accommodate people who are late, no call-no shows, etc. Donations can be left outside the door during our appointment hours; Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 9 to 3.
